Josep Maria Vallès (born July 1940 in Barcelona) is a Spanish academic and politician.
Vallès studied law (UB), Political Science (IEP, in Paris) and Business Management (ESADE, Barcelona). He is also a lecturer in Political Science and Administration (UAB) where he also was the Dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences and Sociology.[1]
His political activity started in 1999 as a member and President of the association Ciutadans pel Canvi (CpC, Citizens for Change), which formed part of the electoral coalition PSC-CpC.
He is a member of the College of Advocates of Barcelona and of the Spanish Association of Political Science and Administration, of which he has been President since 2001.
